Overview

We currently have a full-time opportunity available for a Patient Services Representative in our Lakewood, NJ office!  

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly manner.
  • Collect co-payments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Prepare new patient charts neatly and accurately.
  • Various office duties as assigned by Office Manager.
  • Responding to patient billing or financial inquiries, directing to appropriate departments, as necessary.
  • Collect and post payments and record receipts.
  • Balance nightly deposits and complete credit card processing.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with other Dental Assistants, EFDAs, Hygienist, Front Desk, Office Supervisors and/or Office Manager, Practice Manager, and Dentists regarding issues important to meeting the needs of patients

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma generally required
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Front Desk of a practice (preferably dental) experience of one year preffered
  • Keyboard skills
  • Cleared through the State of NJ to work with children: determined through Criminal Background Check, Finger Printing, and Child Abuse Clearance
