The Regional Dental Practice Manager (herein Regional Manager or RM) is an important part of the CDHA team.  RM reports directly to the Practice Manager. The successful candidate will have responsibility for overseeing daily operations of up to 10 multi-specialty group dental practices within a specific region. The RDPM supervises the office managers in partnership with the dental Practice Manager. The position will primarily be responsible to provide leadership, direction and support to the office managers to ensure financial and operational success. Responsibilities will include gaining the trust and respect of office managers, maintaining compliance to procedure and protocols in the office and providing strong financial results while keeping the focus on patient care and satisfaction.


  • Provide overall operational management direction and guidance to regional offices on daily operations
  • Build successful relationships with office managers, Dentist, managers at corporate office and business partners/vendors
  • Work in partnership with office manager and Practice Manager to meet organizational goals
  • Ensure each offices’ commitment to the Company vision of providing an exceptional patient experience
  • Human resource related issues including assuring proper staffing levels, performance and compensation management in conjunction with office manager and Practice Manager
  • Hires office managers and participate in the recruitment and retention process for key office positions and office staff
  • Trains and evaluates office managers as a continuous process
  • Visit each manager/office as needed to assess office dynamics providing support and guidance when necessary
  • Continuous support of excellence in patient service and satisfaction; address and resolve any patient issues or concerns in a timely fashion
  • Full understanding of productive scheduling methods to meet revenue goals
  • Understand and interpret Key Performance Indicators and adjust operational functions accordingly
  • Manage and oversee budget and financial functions for assigned offices
  • Interpret, understand and manage controllable items on P&L
  • Consistently achieve budget, revenue and EBITA goals
  • Identify solutions to increase revenue and make each affiliated office in your region more profitable; plan and implement programs for obtaining the operational goals and objectives for assigned region
  • Ensure compliance with CDHA policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with State laws for dentistry as well as State and Federal Employment and Safety requirements


  • Two or four-year business degree or equivalent business experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Solid command of the English language, both written and spoke
  • Broad knowledge of P&L/multiple location management
  • Knowledge of information systems
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with dental office management software.
  • Supervision or management of multiple dental offices and staffs
  • Knowledge of effective and efficient dental office operations and production concepts
  • Able to travel as needed to various regional offices.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of the complete business side of dental office operation and management to include IT, Payroll, Collections, Recall Systems, etc.
